Blaggers!!!

It's been a minute since we checked in, and there's a pretty good reason for that:

Our fiddle player Karin welcomed a brand new Blagger into the world! But don't worry she's officially back in the saddle and back on stage with us. 

With Karin home with the little Blagger, we partied in Vegas for St. Patrick's Day this year again on both Fremont Street and the Las Vegas Strip and were lucky enough to have Phoebe Silva step in on fiddle for the shows. Phoebe absolutely killed it, and we are incredibly grateful she helped us keep the party going for one of our biggest days of the year. 

And now we keep rolling! The rest of the year is already shaping up nicely. We've got shows coming up all over Southern California, including our Halfway to St. Patrick's Day show at Patsy's Irish Pub in Laguna Nigel on September 19th. We're back at the Shamrock in Murrieta on October 2nd. And we are very excited for the first, of hopefully many, Irish Punk Night's with some friends in Long Beach at DiPiazza's on October 3rd:

After that we are  back at the Seaside Highland Games in Ventura, another wonderful event for our friend Dave at Spar Customs in Encinitas, and more. Check our our Shows page for all of our upcoming events. And yes we will be back at the Field in San Diego for New Years Eve again this year!

And then there's the new record. We're still working on it (we know, we know). But good things take time and we'd rather make something we are genuinely proud of than throw a bunch of songs together just so we can say it's finished. We've been digging deeper into the darker side of Celtic mythology, old stories, monster, legends, and the strange characters lurking around those tales. The new songs are taking form and we are excited about the direction it is heading into. Basically it's taking it's sweet time coming up out of the bog, but we're loving getting there. 

In the meantime we've got plenty of fun times ahead, a new generation of Blagger being raised around fiddle tunes and punk rock, and a whole lot of shows to get through. 

So come raise a pint with us. Bring your friends. Bring your dancing boots. Bring your liver's last will and testament.
