Old Glory
A nation’s favored sons and daughters
Cheering for the sound
Of sacrificial lambs to slaughter
Dying on the ground
We boast and brag of our former self
Failed the folded flags on shelves
The logic here has vanished, the science you denied
We lie and cheat in the name of freedom
The holy book said I can beat them
Virtue corrupted, the compassion has died
Prechorus
Well we’ve gone too far to give up now
We have got to tear it down somehow
Can we start again and get this whole thing right!
As they Beg for shelter and human rights
In the name of freedom, you start fights
Ignorance is bliss! this country you divide!
Chorus
Old Glory......... where have you been?
Tattered, torn and ripped from within
Old Glory......... beaten black and blue
I’m Running out of hope for you.
You stand for flag and the anthem
As you watch it burn!
You pledge allegiance to Old Glory
Giving no concern.
We tell them all how great we are
Love thy neighbors near and far
But If they ask for help? Go back where you belong!
We’re bleeding out on your front door
We are your sick we are your poor
Huddled in our masses, refuse of your teeming shore
Are you Safe from danger with a living wage
Or a shiny blanket and silver cage
Ignorance is bliss! this country you divide!
Chorus
Old Glory......... where have you been?
Tattered, torn and ripped from within
Old Glory......... beaten black and blue
I’m Running out of hope for you.
Old Glory....... where did you go?
We Need you now more than you know!
Old Glory......., no quarter no reprieve, Land of the free and the
make believe.
